Our First Garden

 We have had so much fun growing our own veggies.  We have made lots of fun recipes and tons of salsa!  NOW we can't wait for our cantaloupe & PUMPKINS!!!!!

 We haven't traveled this summer but we have had fun just being home.  Lots of family fun, gardening and creativity.  Along with a few water balloon fights.  Here is Kaitlyn doing her victory dance after getting her daddy.

 We like to sneak up on Brenton when he gets home from work with whatever ammo we can find.

He is always a good sport....he is a great dad. 

Summer NIGHTS

Summer Nights are my fav...perfect weather, family time, sunsets, stars...Summer Nights in the country are THE BEST...

 I have filled my summer with junkin' and I love every minute!

 But the BEST junkin is when you find a BARGAIN!  I got all this stuff below for a whopping $3.25

 I turned the two frames into this chalkboard and "memo" board to go int my craft room.  LOVE IT SO FUN and EASY.  Watch  for the rest of my junkin reveal...coming soon....:)

Week 1 of summer blessings

We have had a great first week of summer...lots of laziness, games, ice cream, gardening, craftiness and meeting some new friends.  I am very blesssed to be home with my girlies this summer.

 We started off this week by feeding the homeless...Kenz has a heart for "hobes" as she calls them.  We always saw homeless people on the street on the way to school and she talks of growing up and buying houses for them.  I love her heart.

 oF course we can't end the first week of summer without some library time.  Kaitlyn found lots of books by her favorite author right now, Mo Willems...and Kenz has Diary of Anne Frank as soon as she finishes "Out of My Mind" by Sharon Draper.  I can not wait for our second week of summer bliss.

 We had a very blessed Christmas.  We enjoyed our 1st Christmas in our new house.

 Lots of decorating and getting ready for the holidays.  Pictures, cards, food, and gifts.

 My dad came to town and our family had a Christmas brunch and enjoyed a white Christmas.

 Santa brought Kaitlyn a bike & Kenzie got a bunch of new video games.

We got the girls i-pod touches and they were so excited.  It was a great Christmas.

It's funny how when we first decided to move I was so unsure I could leave...that was our first real house together, we watched the progress as it was being built, we decorated 2 baby nurseries and had countless family nights at that house.  Both my girls learned to ride a bike in front of our house, they threw out reindeer food in our front yard every Christmas Eve and they posed in front of my beautiful red front door at the start of every school year....how could I ever leave?  We had worked to make it ours, my grandparents helped dig the flowerbeds and we planted apple trees in the yard when each of our girls were born...so many memories. Not to mention I do not do well with CHANGE.  But I  knew I could leave it to God and all would work out.    Funny how it works out even better than I could imagine...I wish I could remember that every time He brings about change.

It's been so long since I got to blog SO I thought I would catch up.  I have been SO busy with life and MOVING.  Today was the first day in forever that I can even remember getting to SIT and do nothing...and it was AWESOME!  SO to catch up...we searched and searched and finally found the PERFECT house.  We love it and feel very blessed to call it home.  Everything worked even more perfectly than we could have imagined, it was definitely a God thing.  We've been in a few months but sometimes it is still hard to believe it is OURS!!!  So thankful!
