Family Dinners

It is very important to me to have a sit down dinner every night with my family.  It gives us time to connect and invest in our daily lives. Most of the time it may be frozen pizza or 8 min pastas between church, drum lessons, ballet or softball BUT I am so thankful for that time as a family. I hope we can continue this tradition even when life gets crazier and schedules are even more demanding.  I believe it instills a greater confidence in my kiddos and a closer bond between each one of us.  NO MATTER where your family sits for dinner, or what is on the menu, I hope you ALL can be TOGETHER!

I LOVE him

I LOVE HIM!!!  For everything he has been, for everything he is and for everything he will be. He amazes me and I am so thankful for him.   

SISTERS

Sisters...they don't know how lucky they are.   Right now, they fight about EVERYTHING.  They are COMPLETE POLAR OPPOSITES...but my fav thing is when I see my tough girl, tom boy showing her girly girl side & when my girly girl shows her tough, tom boy side.  I am so blessed by them BOTH!!!!  I LOVE my GIRLIES!!!!

Tyler Blake birthday photo shoot

We did a quick photo shoot to celebrate his 14 years...not as HOLLYWOOD as he would have liked but at least I got him with his phone...  I cannot believe he is 14.  I can remember 14 and he is NOT old enough to be 14!!!  I was old and mature and....oh yeah...I am still not mature????  BUT I thought I was then! :}  I can remember taking this cute little baby, (even more handsome with glasses) shopping with me and listening to his HIGHLY intelligent conversations (even at 1yr old) and we both loved singing along to Garth and Dixie Chicks!!  Ty, I can't believe you are 14!!!!!  You STILL AMAZE me and I am SO PROUD of you!  You are so handsome and kind and you have an amazing drive...let's face it you are just like your aunt (PRACTICALLY PERFECT in EVERY WAY) HAHA :)  SO DREAM BIG...but don't let it go to your head!  I LOVE YOU!

Perfect END to our Spring Break

It was such a gorgeous day today and the perfect end to our Spring Break. (if there is such a thing)  I should have been inside doing laundry or planting all those red tulips BUT instead Kaitlyn carried all our books out and we all sat together and READ.  She is such a SMART girl just like her sis!  Such a great, quiet time with just me and my girls.  Those tulips did get planted (while the girls rode bikes) and the laundry did get done (thanks to my hubby :)  BUT so thankful that we took this time just to be together!

Grandpa's bday

Missing my grandparents! Today was my grandpa's bday and we were usually with him to celebrate.  But so thankful for the time I had with them and that my girls knew them too.  So many great memories!  Happy Birthday grandpa!  Love you and miss you both!

Still catching up on photo shoots and editing!!!  I cannot believe my baby is 6 years old....6 going on 16!  EEEK!!!  

Kaitlyn, You are such a DIVA and I LOVE that you have such a SPARKLING personality!  You are always smiling (which is why papa calls you SMILEY)  and you are ALWAYS so full of JOY no matter what!  I LOVE that you are always singing and I am AMAZED at how good  you are at applying LIPSTICK! :) NOW if you would just decide on ONE color and STOP wiping it off with your sleeves!!! I love that you always want to read to me even though I MAKE you LET ME READ TO YOU TOO!  I love that you want to be a teacher & a Rock Star BUT you are "concerned about having time for your future hubby and you are not sure you can do BOTH!"  I love your FASHION sense and I LOVE that when you play barbies you give Ken a country twang kind of accent. And Barbie "loves it when he talks like that!"  I LOVE that you make me LAUGH!!!  I hope you will always be so full of JOY, I hope you will always be friends with EVERYONE and I hope your BOY CRAZINESS will fade (at least for a while) AND I wish your new found love for Justin Bieber would fade fast and forever! :)

YAY Spring!

I am so excited to see these signs of spring!  I never plant until after Easter because we always get a late freeze around here....so here's hoping that my little sweet signs of spring won't see any freezing temps!  I am sad that my spring break went so fast but so happy that spring is here!  

Payton's 8 yr old photo shoot

Catching up on birthday pictures!  This is my 8 yr old nephew.  So handsome!  One of Kenzie's best friends or worst enemies!  They have so much fun together until they just really can't stand it anymore!  :0)  I love that he is so loyal to both of my girls.  He will always stick up for them no matter what!  He has such a big sensitive heart under his tough boy exterior.  Love U Payton!!!

Spring Break Fun

We have had a great start to our spring break hanging out with Papa.  I was able to do some photo sessions and I took over 1,000 pictures just today!  THAT makes me HAPPY!  Then we went to fun plex and played games, raced go carts & even got wet on the bumper boats.  Thanks dad for the fun times!  We can't wait to hang out more this week and enjoy your good food!  Love ya!

thoughts of the day...my job

You know the tangled Christmas lights that Clark Griswald pulls down from the attic on Christmas Vacation...that has to be what some peoples' brain look like....LOTS of wires, some connecting like they should, BUT everything is so tangled that nothing ever connects for more than a few minutes.  The wires are so jumbled that they pull loose causing the lights to flicker and die out before they even get started.  I guess my job as a teacher is to untangle all those lights so they can shine brightly and stay connected! I  love my kiddos, especially when I can see those lights starting to flicker BUT some of those tangles are hard to undo.  It can be really frustrating!  I guess I will be thankful there is a mess to untangle and pray for some extra help getting all the knots out tomorrow!

What a BUSY weekend but so excited that I got EVERYTHING accomplished that I had planned to get accomplished.  INCLUDING this chair.  I bought this chair for $1 at a garage sale during one of my trips to Edmond, OK.  The guy actually GAVE it to me bc I think he thought I was crazy for wanting it, but I paid his little boy the dollar instead!  SO after lots of redoing and sanding etc here is my NEwLy   ReDoNE chair!!!!  

I should post a pic w/out the cushion too.  This was a GREAT weekend for CREATING and I hope to post some more of my accomplishments this week.  (If my sore muscles allow me to) I REdid furniture, flowers beds, chopped, tilled, pruned, raked, mowed, organized, carried, moved, cleaned, REarranged  and REpainted.....and crafted til the wee hours of the morning!  AND LOVED EVERY MINUTE!!  I just I hope I can move on MONDAY! :) Have a REnewed & blessed week!
